Which WoW expansion is your favorite?

My fav was WOTLK. as mentionned before, achievements and class balance were at its peak. also arthas' lore and going back in time seeing WC3 heroes like janna and Uther. It was really the perfect expansion imo.

Leveling from 60 to 70 in outland was a blast. Each area was vast and unique, with Nagrand still being my favourite zone ever.

Each raid had its own flavour with appropriately themed bosses that dropped unique gear. Think ZA, BT and SW and how the gear that dropped there looked.

Everything seems very same-y to me in the new expansions. I do prefer the updated graphics, though.

I didn't like Northend all that much and I wish they didn't kill Arthas. He was the best villan EVER...

Definitely vanilla. I don't see what people like about TBC. Maybe because that's when most people started playing? Who knows. TBC is the least worst expansion though.

All versions had their merits and flaws, but I choose TBC because it went mostly in the right direction. Two steps forward and one step back. Community and challenge were still key concepts. The only thing really bad was the introduction of flying mounts.

Since then they have all gone one step forward and two (or more) steps back.
Wrath and Vanilla are very different and hard to compare but I rank them about equal.

WotLK is probably my favorite, and TBC my close second. TBC started going the ways of balancing all of the classes to make things viable, and WotLK was pretty damn fun. PvP was mostly balanced, and the PvE fights were pretty awesome (looking at you, Ulduar). Best area designs ever were probably in TBC, though. #Nagrand
