A piece of knowledge I have picked up from my time in private servers, is that the more custom features added, the less likely it is that the team behind the project is serious.

I was put off this server when I heard this was an instant level-up server. Not too surprised with what's happening.

Simple answer: 3.3.5

Wotlk was a subpar expansion that owes the bulk of its success to borrowing WC3/TFT lore, and creating a compelling story/villain designed in the era when Blizzard could write.

And to top it all, it's the last patch, after LFD was added in 3.3, after all raid progression was rendered void by those.... those... badges of 3.2 that meant you could entirely skip tiers to catch up with people in the dumbest raid I've yet to see.

I would consider a 3.1 patch if just to do Ulduar hardmodes without nerfs. But that's basically it. Maybe PvP on the side.

other than pure classic vanilla, level 60 twinking PvP during WotLK was the best time I ever had playing WoW

You can read on their Facebook page that they use x2 rates.
Not a fan myself.

There isn't x2 rates on playtbc.
x1 rates just an instant 60 which half argue is bad, half argue is good because they don't want to grind another 60 out just to play BC content.

We all knew they wouldn't be able to handle the influx of players since nost crashed and we all knew it would be rough on the first day.
What we didn't know is that 18,000 people would attempt to log in within the first 2 hours, which made things worse.

Sit tight for a couple of days, things will pan out and all the angry nerds with nothing better to do will be happy again.

can you really say your name was ``stolen´´ when it's one of the most common words in a language with 80 million speakers? assuming your nick is the same as your forum name.
you think it be like it is but it's don't

They are answering some questions in discord chat, I've been recording it all. It's still going on but I split off the first part and uploaded it.

here you go <--- skip to the 11 minute mark to get to the part where the GM answers questions

This doesn't even seen legit but it is.

It gets worse in part 2. They aren't going to say when it's actually coming out because they "Don't want everyone logging on at the same time" LOL

"It could be 10 minutes it could be 2 days"
Very professional

I tell you its because they don't know how to mitigate the overload of the authserver. Scrubs

Yeah, I'm avoiding this server. What a joke. They can't even configure MySQL correctly. It's been like this all day. It's all hype. Sad sad sad.
