^ This is the first complaint that started the decline of retail, then snowballed into what it is today.
From a tank perspective, the lack of tanks is not the fault of lazy warriors or unmotivated hybrids, but of the people that ask us to go.
Why do you want to go to an instance? Upgrades. While dps spam lfg/m in greens and crap blues the tank is expected to be geared. If your tank is rocking greens, you want them to dps to find a "proper" tank. IE: get carried.
How many items that are bop do you think are of any value to a tank? I tank only think of 4. 3 are from brd, and ubrs shield. So when tanks run groups, they are looking for some random boes to drop.for upgrades. Exciting right? Perhaps, however the dps pugs do not see it as, hey this guy who cant use anything in this instance will.get an upgrade. They see dollar signs. Want a tank neck, shoulders, gloves, ect. You will have all people need roll on your stuff.
To counter this, I almost never pug, as guildies dont do this.ninja crap. I can win my boe upgrades, and i.cant chain run instances till.they.get all of their loot. Ninjas are gkicked, we have pride in what we are as a group

any pug I have been in in many years of vanilla wow just looks for a feral druid or a warrior with a shield. Never ever been in a pug with people that checked gear. Just happy to have someone willing to tank.
Perhaps you should get out of that guild and actually pug once in a while. Your world view has become distorted.
