All the fun and epic dungeons and raids at level 60 became obsolete and just laid there collecting dust. No more epic 40 man raids. Raids were challenging in the start of TBC but soon became a noob faceroll. Daily quests are the bane of any game. You don't want to do the same thing OVER and OVER and OVER, that's called grinding. Yes there were elements of grinding in vanilla too but you never felt forced to do it unless you really wanted that epic vendor item... with daily quests you've constantly got exclamation marks all over the place pushing you and pushing you again into accepting the quests just to get rid of those exclamation marks just for the rest of the day *sigh*. In vanilla you did a quest and you never had to do it again, that is called progress... not an infinite boring loop like daily quests.
So yeah there you go: TBC dumbed everything down immensely and it lead to the ruination of the once great game WoW. Vanilla is the ONLY good time of WoW.
I agree in some points, but in others i don't.
Vanilla is for me indeed the best wow time ever. The first time you create your character in this world in vanilla... it's an epicness that cannot be described. There was such a big world, many many things to discover, things to do. This feeling has only existed for Vanilla and nothing else.
There is not much to explain that TBC was focused in Outlands. Besides of that classes started to get tons of abilities that made them more versatile, the leveling was not the same as in vanilla... but still were great times, since the game was young, and people had still many many things to do, TBC was still really good.
I think in terms of gameplay the game got worse and worse as of Wotlk. Thats when the game started to get casualization. Was still good because of the PvP, and the Lore content was awesome, classes were really funny in general, even tho the game didn't offer the same feeling of hardcoreness as before.
With the launch of Cata, the amazing lore went away, some classes were completely broken, the casualization came stronger than ever to our doors, the game was fucked up. As of Cata, the casual progress was too high... and the content was so poor...
Classic+TBC+Wotlk were all good imo, but classic wins, prolly because of nostalgia? i don't know, perhaps...
