I dont rly understand why ppl keep saying that Czech servers can not be touched by Blizzard, I'm not a lawyer so mb you are right so I dont argue, but Czech Republic is part of EU and other organizations like this, our goverment is also huge USA asslicker but w/e idc if they will or wont shutdown them, I'm just saying that ppl who think that u will simply reroll 8k players to Kronos = Nostalrius are fools and wasting their time. There is a reason why Nostalrius beat Kronos to the ground while both were released at same time

Welp, Twinstart is trying to protect their ass by removing the playercount and scrambling /who so c- r- z- filters don't work, making addons like census ineffective.

Otherwise, what some people said about Twinstar, yes. They ended up on top of the Czech scene because they were more successful at being crooked than other servers.

I started on Kronos, and I would love for it to be the next Nostalrius, but it won't. Here's why:

1. The artwork on the site doesn't compare to the elegance and style of Nostalrius. Image is important.
2. Trade chat is empty during prime time. I know people are still leveling etc. Regardless.
3. You can buy an ivory raptor on Alliance. Custom stuff can be fun, but the "vanilla only stigma" is too strong.
4. I doubt anyone who has significant time in their original character has enough motivation to reroll instead of waiting for a real Nostalrius 2.0, if that's even coming.

I'm looking forward to the Atlantiss TBC server, if it ever comes out. Otherwise maybe i'll just try to forget about this game again.

*Opinion*

For what it's worth - I tried Kronos out a few hours ago, what follows is my experience.

Donations/Currency (Stars) - You can donate and obtain currency (Stars). With this currency you are able to purchase mounts, pets, a tabard and characters. Now before you start to flail your arms and give up because of that last one, let me explain. Players can openly (using their system) sell their characters in exchange for this currency. Using this type of system allows players to "legally" sell/purchase accounts, with safety and security in place and provides an awesome way to help the server out financially. These characters are not given to players by GMs, the levels are not granted for free or purchased, this isn't a Pay to Win server.. These are simply players like you and me being allowed to sell accounts with a solid system in place to do so. With that out of the way - read on.

The server is stable, no lag, no issues handling the influx of people, no login problems. The website/backend they have is very well put together/thought out. You can immediately tell from initial signup that they have a good idea of what they're doing. Staff is extremely helpful, responsive and on top of their community/servers.

Logged in, created a character and started the grind. LOTS of players in the starting zones - tagging mobs for quests wasn't easy, but I didn't expect this to be the case. General chat was bombarded with players, felt like Nostalrius' barrens. NO BAG BUG hooray! (Not that this is really a make or break). Friendly people. Grouped for a number of quests just like on Nost. I felt good about this.

Soon after hitting level five a server restart message appeared with a fifteen minute counter. Server went down and came back up within two minutes of it being restarted. I was able to stay on top of it because I was poking around on their website and saw the server notification go from down to up in real time. Amazing. Logged right back in with no issues, straight back into gameplay. They added restrictions to General Chat (level 10 required) as well as the other forms of chat like "/say" and "/yell" (level 5 required). Party chat was the only exception. Good move. They also increased spawn timers to adjust to the player influx and increased the performance of the server all within a single restart that caused two minutes of interruption.. clearly they are watching this closely. Impressed. Questing began to become easier (Gloomweed was everywhere, Pumpkins respawned in 15seconds!) because of the respawn timers. No shortage of players anywhere. I have decided in a few short hours that this will be my new home for now.

I am a new member on the forum. And I would like to introduce myself a bit. Let me share my gaming experience. I played about 60 hours on the nost PVE server, and a bit more on an official PvE server. I dont really know how the other private servers work. I heard that most of are full of bugs.
One thing I know, I wont register on any server. I would rather return to the nost.

If you dont like long and tiring things, I have an advice: Skip my post. Dont hate me because my english is so weak

During my gaming experience I played some PvE, and PvP. In the beginning only quests, then I tried to get items, which are expensive in the Auction House. Found nost is the toughest ever. Tougher than any official server.
When I got some gold, and found some items, which are valuable on the server, I started my PvP journey.
That was amazing sometimes. People sent me to the PVP server in the beginning. They said " What do you want on a PvE server?" "Not the right server"
I dont wanted to believe There is no PvP here. Finally I found some people who really loves the game.
Mostly on Battlegrounds. Was a Pleasure playing with/against them. Some really good 5vs5, and 10vs10 battles. Rarely balanced games. Awesome experience. And usually there was no haters.

I was curious about the ogrimar-raids. Unfortunately I took part on 3 only. All was crap. About 15-20 characters went into ogri. They did not care about the others. When the 1st group was in ogri, I checked the map, I saw everyone was heading to ogri. Main group did not stop.
Why did they invite 40 characters? To feed the horde? Many people (around level 40-55) died in ogri. Nobody gave a shit.
The worst thing was: They were proud of it. And the "glorius" main group did write on the Trade/general chat "We killed thrall"
Big deal..

The last raid was interesting. "interesting". I said lets wait everyone. And they wait everyone

There was some hope. Then someone said he is not in the mood to fight "lets make friendship".

When I got there the Half of the team was fighting.. I mean dieing. Raid leader and most of the 60 was AFK.

When I said "Lets retreat, come on FIGHT BACK", the Leader kicked me
So yeah He was not AFK

He was doing something..


During quests I found some gamers who are not just "grinding", Who likes the game really. It was a pleasure
to play with them.

When the things were going well, crap was happened. In March, or In April. You know There was a lot of haters, and jealous people.
Maybe poor losers, but rather jealous losers started to ruin the level 19 BattleGrounds. I was angry when these faces came up. Later I was laughing, and learned the rules.
many different type of losers:
1 Always in queue with a level 10 toon, Acts like a normal people, 2 minutes playing then AFK
2 Joins the fight, leaves the battle
3 The Battleground Leader Who is a HATER, who removes the active highest level character from the main group

The "1" loser is worse than the "2". He/she knows what he/she is doing. A well trained loser, who knows how the queue works..
These things was happened on the Alliance side. These jealous losers did ruin the low-level dungeon groups also. I think It s happened in the end of March. It was started in March.

Kronos gives me some bad mojo. I went to Warmane, because a friend was there, but if I hadn't gone to Warmane, I would have tried Rebirth, or PlayTBC.
