Hey guys,
Recently got back into playing wow again, and all of a sudden i keep getting these fps drops whilst playing that i never got before.
I have an Nvidia gefore GT740M, running on windows 8.1, intel core i 5 @ 2.60ghz and have 4gb of ram.
I used to run wow fine, but now it seems to freeze up and i get constant fps drops.
If anyone knows how to help i'd be very grateful, cheers.

How old is your HDD? What does bench at? 4gigs of RAM should be enough, if your HDD sendnig the information fast enough. I run 8gigs of ram and only ran in issue when trying to play the game and using dxtory to record on the same drive. The FPS stutter stopped when I recorded to my secondary drive. That reduced the stress on the main drive. Below is a good HDD benchmarking tool. You should be above 75MB/s r/w speed. I say that number as my main drive does 145MB/s and I tried recording (writing at roughly 85MB/s) and had issues running the game during loading of new textures and NPCs while recording on the same drive.

This program I found to do the best overall HDD testing.
