:T I'm a sucker for druids and basically roll the same character every time - this time I recreated my original druid, same name and everything. do other people branch out and play new characters?

I don't play retail any more, the two characters I played the most and did Arenas and BGs on were a Rogue and a Mage.

First character I ever played on retail was Alliance and a human warrior. I was new to MMOs and figured warriors would be the easiest class to learn. Got him to level 45 before taking a leap of absence for personal reasons. I rolled a few other Alliance characters (Human priest and Draenei hunter come to mind) but never got them past level 20. I also have memories of trying to roll a paladin and rogue around this time and remember hating them; something about them being really boring to play as.

When I returned a couple of months later, I decided to reroll Horde; made a Blood Elf warlock that eventually became my first level 60, 70 and 80. Ended up making several other Horde characters that got pretty far: hunter, mage, priest, and death knight all come to mind. Still no paladins or rogues though. For the most part, I was predominately Horde on retail.

Since playing on Nostalrius is kind of like a nostalgia trip for me, I thought the best thing was to roll Alliance again and experience it again for the first time like I did way back when, and I'm glad I did. Everything's just as good as I remember it being. The only difference for me is I'm taking the knowledge of the classes I played on the Horde side and am applying it to my Alliance characters.

Hunter, growing up i was always into archery type stuff. I leveled a hunter to 34 in retail but quit because i hate the mana concept of the class. As soon as they got Focus Hunter insta became my main and i haven't looked back.

Night elf priest in Vanilla and TBC. Took a break until WOTLK and rolled BELF holydin. I played demo lock a while WOTLK. In ICC i was forced to tank and tanked through 4.0 and 4.1. Ended WoW as Demolock in Firelands and didnt return until now. As a tauren female warrior tank ofc! Tanking is the best!

First character on my retail account was a troll Shaman named CommieGanish... all my characters were Commie, followed by a God's name like Allah, also my mage was Judas and my hunter was CommieNRA, who became my first main and only 70 in BC. But Ganish was my first. Made it all the way to 17 I think before thinking I "messed him up" somehow and started over. Tried every class, stuck with mage until early 30s and then tried hunter which remained my main until MoP, when I quit the most recent time. But in Nost, I decided to try Shaman, especially since my biggest regret about missing vanilla was missing the faction specific classes.

So far I'm loving the Shammy, especially in dungeon groups. I love being in melee heavy groups and dropping WF, the mobs just melt! It's also nice being able to help out when there's too much going on for the healer, and I love the times when WF one shots the mob for me. All in all a great class.

I'm thinking this summer I'm gonna hit 60. Possibly 3-4 weeks from now given my schedule. I plan to do some endgame dungeons and raids then mainly AV. If I roll an alliance character it'll probably be a gnome warrior because they're hilarious and I want fast groups or some priest

I used to play a Rogue all the way through Vanilla. I still "hate" myself for being such a goofball back then and not look into other classes and not being interested in mechanics more.

Now I am leveling a Dwarf Priest, since I have enjoyed healing since rolling my first Shaman in BC. It boils down to healer or melee DPS - and I decided to go with healer this time.
