I played WoW since day1 of Vanilla, been an hardcore player in top EU guild, cleared everything up to TBC then abandoned it after having seen how Blizzard ruined the game.

Many years have passed and I did not follow WoW developments anymore, some time I searched around for serious vanilla projects but never found what I was looking for.

I just discovered this one (Nostalrius), which seems very good and serious project.

I was wondering if someone of really oldschool players are still around here, just to name some guilds who was great those years:

ALLIANCE:
<The Axemen> Ravencrest
<Borked> Ravencrest
<Loot FTW> Ravencrest

HORDE:
<Imbalanced> Neptulon
<Nihilum> Magtheridon - then <Ensidia>
<Beyond Redemption> Twisting Nether
<Remedy> Twisting Nether

This is probably the best vanilla server you will ever find in reguards to game content. The only flaws are the 'new gen' playerbase and the GMs.

I used to play on Spinebreaker EU. Not a very popular server though, as it was actually highly populated by spanish players. We had the best spanish guild ever, Dark Requiem. May not compete with top notch european and american guilds, but they surely had the best machinimas.
