How is it Excalibur?

Well. Im hyped these days for TBC, i don't know if its for nostalgia or whatever, but i wanna play it.

I'd like to play it on Nostalrius, but since it will take ages untill it releases, i was think about a second choice. I've been checking servers out there, and the most blizzlike i've seen is Wow excalibur (except from that x2 leveling...), and the population ain't bad (about 1k5 in general, maybe higher in peaks).

PD: I don't want to play Corecraft since it will be instant 58 and that makes the server a total crap since Blizzlike word is totally broken. (i really enjoyed the leveling in TBC, specially the twinking part)

What do you guys think? It will be funnier than Vanilla?

I got t6 geared tank on Excalibur. Scripting is really nice, would totally recommend it for endgame tbc. Downsides are its been out for so long ( I think like 6 years now) low levelling is pretty lonely. Also I didn't do much but I'm fairly sure the pvp scene is not very prominent

well hellground and excalibur have nice raid scripting,dungeons and hcs work nicely,but los bugs everywhere on outland, and a bunch of other annoying bugs, would not recommend either. im waiting for cc myself, but looks like that shit is never going to be relased. but yeah, vanilla is boring as f, i want tbc too but there are no decent servers out there atm ;(

I levelled a warrior on Excalibur last year. The scripting seemed pretty decent but as mentioned above I didn't see a lot of other players out and about in the world until Outland and there were some los/bug issues. It didn't seem as polished as servers like Nost/Rebirth/Dalaran although they do push monthly updates and changelogs. The rates will go up to 4x for a few days following monthly vote events.

Also, IIRC you can buy all gear, items, recipes, mounts etc apart from S4 and SWP gear from their pay/donation shop, which together with a core population that has been on the server for a while didn't really offer much incentive for me to invest more time in endgame progression and PvP once I'd had my nostlagia fix while levelling.

I'd love a decent 1x TBC "blizzlike" realm, but alas there's nothing on the immediate horizon. CC will start at 58 and given the continual delays over the years I wouldn't hold my breath until it actually launches. Nost's planned TBC server in the future is probably our best bet at the moment and it's likely at least 18 months away going by their timeline and the delays they've had in delivering that.
