Warcraft fans waited for this for so, so many years. Finally, all the cinematics that stirred us up over the years are outlined in a monumental work!

I was so hyped and think it is pretty meh. It's not that animated graphics stuff but there is not enough action in the trailer for me. Like they talk all day and love each other and walk around.

As this is only the first trailer and there will be more I hope they just wanted to put us in the scene so the "non wowers" get what that movie is about: Orcs vs Humans

I liked the legion trailer more - I'm not gonna buy/play it but it was nice to watch :)

Blizzard was my #1 "trailermaker" but today I'm not convinced.

The CGI looks a bit ropey in parts and I appreciate the concerns a lot of people seem to have there. Baby Thrall, for example, looks like some sort of Chucky abomination.

That said, I'm a lot more optimistic about the film now than I was a few years ago given the trend of video game to movie transitions. By my reckoning the CGI seems decent in a few other shots though so hopefully over the course over the film it will come together fairly smoothly and not seem too jarring. I quite like the oversaturated, deep-colour look; like the games and WoW each zone has that distinct hyper-realistic palette.

I'll be seeing it a bunch of times at the cinema anyway as I'm a huge fan of the lore having put countless hours in to Warcraft 1 back in 1994. They seem to be sticking fairly close to the lore from the time as well - my main concern is that they don't retcon key aspects too heavily.

For now, I'm just geeking out over seeing so many of those classic locales and figures from the universe: Lakeshire, Stonewatch Keep, Rockard/Stonard, Blackrock Mountain, The Black Morass, Dwarves, High Elves, Drek'thar, etc. Hopefully it does well enough to warrant a trilogy covering the Warcraft 2 and 3 era.

Had to laugh at one of the comments on Youtube about King Llane's order:
"...find theses beasts, or whatever they are"
...and bring me 10 of their pelts". :D

The trailer seems to deviate from the original story, which is expected from any movie that has a source material. It looks decent, albeit trite and a bit sloppy CGI-wise at some places. Should be entertaining at least, I just wouldn't go in expecting the movie to be a masterpiece.
