Old private servers
Posted: Fri Mar 06, 2015 10:30 amGuys, I propose to discuss old private servers you have played. Classic, not classic. For there's just so much nostalgia remembering those days, and still not being able to log on now non-existent characters, or at least see a pair of screenshots.
Probably my first and brightest memory of classic WoW was that of Absolute Virtue server. Did anyone play on it back in the day?
I also remember spending a lot of gametime on 2.4.3 BattleScape and WoWStorm servers of the project called ScapeGaming. I liked the former one for its massive focus on PvP, which I enjoyed a lot on a NE warrior called Swiftyz (wannabe
) and the latter one for it's instant 55 with x1 rates and lvl 70 cap - I haven't met this somewhat interesting idea implemented elsewhere.
Also isn't it wierd that despite offerring great perspectives to players and promising long feature all private servers eventually die out? I wonder if there's still a server up and running that was opened around TBC, per example.
