none, they're both horrible fats.

Olive oil, rapeseed oil and flaxseed oil are fine(I wouldn't touch plant-based oils if you're in the US due to guaranteed GMO content)
avocado, almonds or cashews(unsalted), MCT fat(cold-pressed and NOT refined coconut fat, or oil) are all good oil, oh.. and talking about fat, the fat from the yolk in eggs.

I'd use margarine however, due to baking.
I just wouldn't recommend anyone to incorporate transfats or saturated fats in their diet(exception being MCT ones which is saturated but healthy) which butter and margarine has.

butter does contain your beloved MCTs, not to mention like 1/3 of the fats in butter is monounsaturated oleic acid (the same fat that makes up olive oil). It also contains butyric acid and CLAs yadda yadda yadda.

Why did you write an essay on shit you clearly don't know anything about?
Butter up bitches!

Butter is good fat, and margarine is bad fat, but less of it and tastes worse. Butter is much, well, butter for you.

Nope

There's a reason we don't use butter or margarine in fitness or bodybuilding, at least as a part of our diets.. There are exceptions for certain meals but butter is still not a viable fat-source.
I know of what you just said, but do you know how much? Very little. And CLA's doesn't have any benefits unless you go above 3-5gram a day(individual)... Also pretty useless.
You can stick to your half-assed butter, I personally never will :) unless, certain exceptions.. Of course.

Also who says that's an essay? You? Really? I think you're too buttered up bud.
