Dodgey Guild Practices - Machete Kills Again / Barkeepjim

Hey I'm new here but wanted to post about some worrying practices used by the guild Machete Kills Again.

It all started about a week ago, been playing solo and was content being without guild then one day in Hammerfall i got invited to a guild randomly and on a whim accepted thinking i might be able to hook up with team mates easier for certain elite quests / dungeons etc.

So the next day i login and the guild leader Barkeepjim kept going on about everyone buying tickets for the guild lottery, being really forward about it pestering people to make sure they got their tickets. He even made macros to make it easier for him to spam this message.

I didn't have money to put into this as i was still using most of my gold for new spells and gear etc and said in guild chat i was sorry I'd have to miss this one and would do the next one.

Bearing in mind the rules for the lottery were the guild keeps 80% of ticket sales and the winner gets 20% or some items, to me this didn't seem like a fair deal for the winner.

Log in the next day and start warming up ready to continue questing. It wasn't until i recieved a guild invite that i realized i had been kicked from machete kills again. So i'm thinking wtf?

So i message Barkeepjim to find out what was going on, as i had seen him mass kicking people from guild on the previous days. He said "don't worry guys, these are the people who don't log in", so i assumed that he had mistakenly removed me thinking i didn't log in.

Thinking that this issue would be resolved once i had messaged him, i was puzzled to not receive a reply from him for a few days, considering i had seen him logging in and out i knew he had prob seen my message but i gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he must have been busy.

So today i decided to send him a bit of an obnoxious message along the lines of.

"Hey asshole, why the f**k did you kick me?"

After i sent that i got a response instantly.

He said, "That's why".

To which i was confused as i hadn't actually been rude to him until that point,.. after the fact..

So i pointed this out to him, then he changed the reason to "you are homophobic and racist"

Someone i knew in the guild explained to me that he had told everyone i was kicked because i was racist.

So to sum up.

He invites you to his guild.
He tries to get you to buy lottery tickets.
If you don't you get kicked.
If you question him he tells everyone in guild you are racist / homophobe.
Keeps 80% of Lottery Ticket Sales.

This is a pretty good scam in my opinion he must be making a fortune.
