My entry:
Jazz is like a lonely old woman that is always willing to chat. You don't often go to her, but when you do, it really changes your mood entirely and makes life less dim for an evening. Unpretentious, simple yet sublime.

also, the Red Army Choir had a pretty neat joint concert with the Ottoman Military Band a few years ago:

completely unrelated song featuring a female vocalist pretending to be a male pretending to be a female (in Japanese):

here is where I realized I hardly listen to any English-language music.

Red Army Choir - Dark Eyes

Red Army songs strike me as some of the best military choirs I've ever heard. Currently only North Korean ones seem mildly good, yet also diminished.

"Let's go" is one of my favourites in terms of sheer spirit uplifting, while "Katyushka" is surprisingly charming.

Oh man, Serbians. Really fun people and those 90s song are just, precious in hilarity. I used to be close to this girl from Banja Luka who was so ashamed of that. Songs like this one, or Pope hates the Serbs, or the Remove Kebab thing, but I think that it just rocks in a world where music has become so terribly predictable and dull.

Nice one mozi.

All I ever really wanted out of life was to be a meth-addled Serb militiaman removing kebabs all day and playing turbofolk all night.
