And the original big Nost community will be split between multiple servers. The more time passes without a new "official" nost data based server the more invested people are gonna be on Kronos and the less people will be on the nost realm.
Or maybe nost is planning to give the data to Kronos? I hope we don't loose the big community.

I wouldnt worry if i were you. The moment Nost subject gets on the move, most of the people you care about will come back. Even if the original community will be separated for a bit, all of the hype going on right now will surely force the new wave of players into the Nostalrious descendant. And after we establish a new, sure and safe place all of the other guys will gradually come back.

if the nost devs ever officially endorsed one particular server, or a group of servers, most would come home =)

Is there any bit of information hinting at this that I missed? From what I know the Nost team won't be having anything to do with vanilla beyond giving the code to some other team... a team that we know fuck all about. I trust that the Nost devs will put their trust in a worthwhile team but even then I personaly can't be sure that they'll be as competent as the guys that handled Nost.

I don't feel like going there at all. I mean, it's probably a good server. But the first problem i can think of, is that they can't handle the "nost amount" of players without crashing. Also things like dynamic respawn, clustering etc.
Nostalrius wasn't the best server only because of the high amount of players.
I'm patient. Playing Rift in the meanwhile... Blizz cut me off in the middle of an mmo addiction, so i have to play something.

Release to the community like originally planned.. I understand them endorsing a server but they should really release it to the whole community. It's better to have a few good servers to pick from than just one. Open source is the best for the community.

The idea of starting over on Kronos after losing everything here... makes me feel ill. The only way I would ever consider playing there is if they released a brand new server.

I have to disagree. I would feel much better if the Nost devs talked things out with a team they consider trustworthy rather than releasing the whole thing for anyone to use with whatever intentions they have.

Well i know nothing but what we already heard from the Team but from what i understand their intentions are to keep working on the subject if such possibility arise, although not playing a front role. Obviously those are just my private opinions, but i really look forward to that scandinavian fella, setting up an non-gov organization which will be the law adressat for any kind of legal shit that blizz can put through. He seemd full of reason
