Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Someone suggested a sticky post with scammers and servers to avoid. So I thought I'd make one

Servers to stay away from:

These are servers trying to lay claim over Nostalrius without Nostalrius officially endorsing them.

Firestorm Servers
Vanilla.re

Servers to avoid: These are servers that aren't very friendly to new Nostalrius players.

Any way to add a server to look into thread list? I mean so far ClassicWarcraft, PlayTBC, and Crestfall all look like alternatives in the future IF Nost does not revive. These of course are not released yet, but each has a team that actually wrote the code for the game clients.

Can you add "Nostalrius Begins" definitely up there. Oh wait not there anymore.

- Players of Kronos are the same crybabies as the Nost community, if something disturbs their game experience they always lay the blame on the new party. Kronos is your only option right now, if you definitely want to continue Vanilla-Wow.

(note: i don't play on Kronos, so don't give me shit about it - even if i would....just don't cus.... ya see above.....)

Im going to quote someone in another thread here.

"We haven't officially endorsed anyone yet" doesn't translate to "those guys are scammers".

Its easy to see why these servers are "laying claim" as nost did say the information would be made public. Just wait for nost to announce something and stop looking at this in black and white, especially telling others to do the same.

Just calm down. Wait for Nostalrius staff to announce something, thats all.

This is hilarious. No one should take this seriously because Nostalrius didn't post it.

Patience is a virtue and that is what I am gonna do. I am gonna wait, although one TBC server is kinda tempting. Whatever...

Classic-wow-server.net
Is a decent experience so far. Server is super new and only has a few hundred players active. Yet from what I've managed to level its 100% as authentic as you can get.

I went here (at least for now) because the server admin didn't make a claim Nos supported the move (since many servers are eager to say they're endorsed) and its less than a week old as of today.

Vanilla.re never said that they had Nost's endorsement....... All they have claimed is that they plan to use Nost's open source data when it is released.

Yeah... Vanilla.re never mentioned Nost's approval or endorsement. Just that they intend for it to be a continuation. IE, same source code, and if/when Nost ever passes on the account info they'll get everyone (who can) their old characters. Old accounts, everything.
