New to the server (Questions)

Downloading the client at the moment and just want to ask a few questions if anyone is willing.

1.) Is this server working? I've seen a few posts naysaying this server saying it is broken and is far from ready, just want some more insight before I delve weeks into leveling to be disappointed.

2.) What side is more populated? Personal taste.

3.) What role is the server most in need of? I play what is in demand usually since I have fun in all roles.

1. The server is functional for the most part. You may experience lag though during peak hours because of the sheer number of people who actively play on the server everyday. For some people, the lag is nearly unbearable; for others though, it's not so bad. As long as don't have a crappy ISP, you should manage to play on it just fine.

1) The server is fully functional with minor bugs I'd say.

2) Horde I believe. I play ally personally.

3) Healers are always good, but play what you enjoy.

Well... I'm playing from Brazil and my ping is around 200ms...
Back on 2006, when I played retail, it used to be 250-270 on Warsong-US server and recently, on 2014, I was playing around 160-180, so its quite nice.

1. There is some lag ofcourse. Population is about twice as big as the biggest blizzard run servers back in vanilla though honestly I'm impressed how well it runs considering this fact. I play at around 40-60ms from Sweden most of the time.

2. Population is very close to 50/50. You wont notice a difference at all.

3. Healers definitely and ofcourse tanks. But as has been mentioned earlier, play what ever class and role you enjoy though you will find that competition for DPS spots if killing.
