Setting up for a sucessful endgame (Professions)

by Tickletummy » Mon Aug 10, 2015 10:53 am

I just started leveling a warrior on this server with the intent on being an engineer at endgame. My question is in regards to leveling and how I should fund this engineering journey ahead of me.

My first thought is to something along the lines of skinning/herb and sell all my materials on the AH. Once I felt like I had enough gold to fund my engineering I would drop one of them for engineering. The reason I picked herb instead of mining for this scenario is because I have heard that mining is a pain to level, especially on such a high pop server. Is this the best and most advised route? Ps. At max level which professions yields more income...skinning or herb? As in, which one should I keep and which should I drop for engineering later on)

Will I regret having 300 engineering and not 300 mining to support it at 60? Or will I easily be able to sell my herbs/leathers to financially support me in buying mats from the AH to craft things I want to for endgame

Sorry if I rambled or if my questions weren't quite clear...I haven't slept in quite some time. That said, goodnight and I look forward to any advice you could give me on the matter! <3 Tickle

Take skinning and herb or something along those likes for the first 60 levels. Once you're 60, crack out on gathering endgame mats while farming. Build up your bankroll until you are comfortable enough to fund your desired professions and have some extra spending on the side.

My current game plan is to have alchemy, tailoring and enchanting maxed (two characters.) Right now I'm tailoring and skinning on my priest and herbalism and alchemy on my mage. It's working out :)
