Classes in Nostalrius

by Mescman » Fri Sep 11, 2015 6:35 am

I have a question related to the different classes/specs in Nostalrius:

Is there any room for the "odd specs" in raiding guilds? For example: shadow priests, feral/balance druids, retribution paladins, dps warriors.

I remember those being pretty rare in the original vanilla (atleast pre aq40) and lets say I want to play a shadowpriest, will I be able to get a slot or should I be a warlock/mage? :?

Or is there for example way too much rogues? To the point where it will be hard to find a spot since there's so much of them?

Rogues and fury warriors way to overcrowded.
Exotic specs are not viable. At all. If your guildleader is a neat guy and the content is cleared, maybe there is space for one or maybe two exotic specs. Thats all.

I must correct myself, DPS warriors are of course playable, during Naxx and AQ they top the DPS meters.
Same for feral druids, in some cases they are good offtanks but cant mess with a good def tank.

Elemental and Enh shamans, balance dr00ds, disc and shadow priests, ret and prot paladins have no gear for raiding which makes them just a kind of waste of a raidspot.

No class is "really needed" since there are 6-7k ppl online each day. Only thing is that there are some classes who are more popular than others. For example there are lots of rogues and fury warriors. And not so much druids and imho warlocks.
Also the usual lack of tanks in lowlevel.

Play what like want to play, except rogue :P

Thanks for the replies.

I've been thinking about maining a druid. I know I will be "forced" to be a healer in raids, but I'll most likely level as feral, can druids heal with just some int gear even in feral spec? I mean the leveling 5mans.

How about farming as resto druid? Is there any kind of hybrid healing spec that allows you to farm AND heal in raids?
