Is there a leveling guide for vanilla?

by hogoshayamura » Mon Oct 12, 2015 10:31 pm

Hi guys, with the new pve server around the corner; I was wondering if there's a vanilla leveling guide that will send me in my adventures on the PvE server.

Lately I've been using Joana's Vanilla leveling guide but that seems to have a few TBC quests in it. is there a better one?

https://code.google.com/p/vanillaguide/

It uses Joana's leveling guide as a base but refined specifically for private servers. Note, however that certain quests weren't added until later vanilla, meaning Nostalrius (in all their misguided wisdom) has removed and gutted anything that isn't in their current patch.

So basically, most leveling guides will have stuff that this server does not have or won't have until later.

Ty for the replies.

Also, I didn't like the in-game addon since it lacked a lot of the tooltip info, when compared to questie. Also Questie provides a broader spectrum of info regarding where all the quests are (including the ones that are greyed out for you). Atm I'm only using the vanillaguide addon to give me an idea of where I need to be quests to be more time-efficient

However the questie addon still shows some quests that are not available until a later patch in vanilla. Is there a Questie Addon for Nostalrius? Or maybe a different addon similar to questie but better?

I found that using shagu quest in conjunction with Vanilla guide gave me the most accurate quest results. In addition use db.vanillagaming.org/ for anything not included or if the addons don't give accurate enough information. I personally can't stand waypoint arrows which is another reason why I don't recommend Questie or similar addons.

Joana's have one but Alliance is overwhelmed with leveling & questing options early on. I would strongly recommend taking a path involving darkshore around level 12-13 if you wish to be fast as it's one of the absolute best leveling zones up to level 18-19. Otherwise Loch modan is a strong choice if you dont like being swarmed in westfall - but of course you get the chain to deadmines there so :)
