Noobie Questions

So, I've been looking around for a high population private server and heard Nostalrius is one of the best.I'm just looking for a vanilla server to play out some nostalgia and back when I considered the game to be at it's best. I do have a few questions:

-Which faction has the highest population?
-Is Blizzard trying to shut down Nostalrius? (highly speculative)

Alliance has a slightly higher pop but it's not noticeable IMO. It's doubtful that nostalrius will be shutting down.

Thanks I appreciate it. Where are the servers hosted? If not in the US do you think I will have a rough time maintaining a decent connection?

Greetings and welcome to Nostalrius!

We have two realms open for players currently. The PvP realm has roughly 50/50 population, whereas the PvE realm has slightly more Alliance than Horde.

The server is hosted in France. We have many successful NA players on the realm but obviously your connection will not be as good as EU players.
