Chatting In-Game

Is there some sort of anti-spam or something? Every now and then I can speak in /s /1 etc but then it just won't work anymore. At first, I thought it was so bots couldn't just make a new account and spam stuff but I'm level 6 now. It's really annoying not being able to communicate with people in an MMO. The only thing that regularly works in party chat and whispers... Why can't I speak? Other people can say stuff to me but I can never reply. It's gotten so bad, I've had to resort to emotes...

we have multiple anti-spam measures in place to combat the bots and spammers. They get lifted as you level higher. They only affect the public chat channels, so you can use /p and /g freely. Unfortunately they are a necessity.

Why is it so strict? I cant hold a conversation with anyone in-game, let alone even start one half the time...

I have noticed that sometimes it's not possible to use some chats like /1, etc. This is some bug i think (I don't know the tehcnical stuff) and usually start to work again next time you log in. This have happened to me many times.

I have also noticed that you get removed from some chat channels now and then, for example /World chat etc and have to join them again.

When you play on Nostalrius, just calm down, take it easy, and most of the time things will work out in the end

I think that it's amazing to hardly see any spam in chat on a free server where gold spammers can start unlimited amounts of free accounts and spam chat 24/7. You also hardly never see any bots or hacks. So that's why it is so strict.

The lower level you are the more restrictions you have to use chat and i think that's logical.
