Question: Install vanilla from CD patch to Server Version

Have the vanilla CD's lying around . Can in install vanilla , use the http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=081 ... 8338343616 file to change servers and patch it or doesn't it work at all?

It wouldn't work because the CD version is most likely 1.1.0 or something like that, instead of 1.12.1 that the server is. Unless you can find the old patches as well and apply them.
