How bad is the world PvP?

I'll just start this out by saying I don't like PvP at all. I'm ok with it being a thing for some people, but it's not my thing and I prefer to keep PvE and PvP separate.

I'm hesitant to join a PvP server. The last time I joined one, I couldn't quest at all due to constantly being ganked and corpse camped and GMs having the attitude of "You joined a PvP server, what did you expect?" I wish there was something posted with all the server info that PvP was the only option available.

With that said, I will await to hear how bad things are before making a character. I get I'm probably in the minority here, and that's fine. Thank you for your time.

If you don't like world PvP, this is not the server for you . You will be ganked a lot after lvl 30 if you decide to go questing in popular areas.

Its not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. Sure, if you go to STV you probably won't have a good time if you don't like pvp.

But avoiding world pvp isn't hard. Quest and grind in less popular areas, try to avoid big quest hubs of the opposing faction and if you have to, try to stick to mobs a little further away from the main area.

Sometimes you get ganked, try to avoid getting into the situation in the first place, and if it happens anyway just grab a drink and afk for a bit before continueing.

This being said, pvp is part of the game. Pvping a lot will make you better at the game, and I'd recommend it for anyone.

There are area's so desolated you can pretty much grind and never be ganked, popular quests during prime euro time will yield mixed results

While I'd love to encourage you to try... My gut says that any level of ganking or world combat may upset you. You may just want to avoid.

I've been ganked / attempted to a bit once I hit contested.

It hasn't hindered me from getting quests done. Mobs would kill me just as much.

I could see it being a real pain point if I hated pvp. I don't. I appreciate it for bringing life to the open world.

In my opinion, it's not horrible but that's just me.
