[new here] Which real and realm-style

Hey there.. When i log in to the game, it appears Realm and Realm-style, which one to choose?
Lets say if i choose Real: Nostalrius Begins; Realm-style: PvP and my friend choose
Realm: Nostalrius Begins; Realm-style: Normal, can we play together or we will be on another realms ??

Both of you need to chose Realm-style PvP. There is no other realm.
