Trouble with sound

I managed to fix my problem by deleting dsound.dll.

If you haven't tried this yet, go to C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft (or wherever else you installed it to) and see if the dsound.dll file is present - if it is, delete it, because it's not needed on XP.

Actually found quite an interesting thing while going through the files. All the other files in the Data folder are from 6.9.2009 except the sound.MPQ wich is modified 24.11.2011. Anyone care to check their Data folder for comparison?

Has anyone manage to find a fix for thes problem. Reinstalling the game dosent fix. Format and reinstall windows does fix thes, but i dont feel like formatting my pc everytime sound goes away in wow.
