Save every gold you have for a mount at level 40(I cannot remember what it costs, but I think it is 75+10gold)

It's 90 gold for training + mount.

You get reputation discount.

To be exact, it's 90+10 (100) base cost, reduced to 81+9 (90) with Honored or PvP Rank 3 and 72 + 8 (20) with both these reductions.

Regarding the weekly standing on first week, there probably gonna be a lot less ranked player at the begining, meaning a #1 will bring a lot less RP than afterwards ; not to mention RP have level caps so being first at level 15 won't really matter .

Make a level 1, and lead it to the city capital. Use it as an extra bank, and send all the valuable mats you get to that character. Bank fills up hella fast I would imagine.
