Ok guys- really looking forward to a challenge after playing retail for many years (and seeing a decline in it's playability), however I am having trouble understanding the download guide.
I'm an 'old fart',and not brilliant with computers so need 'baby steps' help.
I've downloaded VanillaGaming_1121_Pack.rar.torrent ,only 26.3kb, and winrar 64b from the link - what do I do now?
I've tried to follow the instructions, but all I end up with is more folders that need unzipping.

Help please. Getting really frustrated. I want to ditch WoW retail ASAP.

I just installed this on my Mac and have everything set up. But when I go to log in it just says "unable to connect". Any help?

Delete WDB & WTF folders
Check the realmlist for correct address
Check wow client version
Check if you created account on the website not the forum
Check your email & spam box for account activation. Make sure your spam box is not set to purge automatically.

So my friend is playing on a mac and has it all downloaded correctly and as far as we know has his realm list stuff correctly put together, but when he launches and tries logging in he can't connect.

Need some help. The Realm List when I downloaded it is not showing up in a notepad. It will not let me log in. Everything else seems to be working correctly, my account is verified. How do I set up the realm list?

Hm, maybe I don't understand the question correctly. But if you ask how to open the realmlist:
Method 1) Open Editor/Notepad->File->Open->Change Files show from .txt to all files and open realmlist.wtf
Method 2) Rught-Click realmlist->Open With...->Editor

If you want babysteps, you better don't use torrent but this download. This might also work.

It might be, that, like the guy quoted above, your friend accidentally selected one of the test realms. Whenever you try to connect to one of them the server directly kicks you. Try the solution I linked to above.

ok tried that and it didn't help, any other ideas? he hasn't been able to log in yet.
