I did everything properly, but when I log in it says "information is not valid" but I've created my account and every thing.

made an account today but i keep getting disconnected while attempting to login. I have the proper realmlist etc

So, I don't have a crystal ball laying around here, hence it's very difficult for me to give you any advise if you provide ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION AT ALL. Post screenshots of login screen, program folder and and realmlist.wtf. Also Please confirm that you received an email and activated your account. Whats with the firewall? ... etc.

Check the forum threads I linked in the initial post under "F.A.Q. section 6". Why should I do all the (blind!) guess work, if you don't even make that little effort? I'd like to help you, but you need to show some effort and atleast try to help yourself.

Hi - I am having same problem (it seems) as some folks above in logging in for the first time. I reg'd and followed the guide at the beginning of this thread.

I did not receive a registration email, I checked my spam and trash folders. however I saw this recent post on another thread:

a verification email is no longer needed in order to activate your account.
when a account has been registered you should be ready to play!

So maybe that is not an issue.

When i try to connect it usually flashes "connecting" for an instant and then says "disconnected from server". Occasionally "connecting" stays on-screen for ~10 - 20 seconds, then disconnected shows up.

I've also tried turning windows firewall off completely and this does not help.
I don't know if this is how it is supposed to work, but after DLing the game I could run it immediately, ie, there was no setup or installation process. I think this is why i cannot find wow on the list of programs when trying to make a firewall exception.

I've attached a couple screenshots below. Let me know if there is anything else you need and apologies for my inexperience. Thanks for your help.

2) Can you connect to other private servers?
3) Have you tried setting realmlist to "set realmlist login2.nostalrius.org"?

You can't. If you downloaded the client in English, it is in English. You need to download a french client. HOWEVER: Most of the game (everything coming from the server, not the client) will ALWAYS be in English (e.g. Quest texts, etc.).

hey i can't get that file to be a zip file, and i downloaded another patch, and i cant find realm list

I'm looking to download this game but the Beginner's Guide only refers to two links both of which are offline. Is there somewhere else I can download it?
