Perhaps the download was removed to fix to corrupt files problem? Just a thought.
I have REALLY wanted to come and play this with you guys since I heard about it a few days ago from a friend. Was a bit crushed when I couldnt get it to work.
Maybe this time.

I've downloaded and installed this twice, I get the same problem after each fresh installation.

"unable to connect" after a very fast login sequence. Any hints?

Can your password be changed? Manage account just takes you to blizzard's website. Am I missing it or is it not implemented yet?

As of right now there are now account management options available. The reason it links to Blizzard is just that was obviously just part of the regular Vanilla client.

SOLVED EDIT: For those having similar issues, I changed the root folder name and moved it to the C:/ drive.

It now sits at C:/Nostalrius and works fine!

***

I downloaded the client from a torrent since the mega was down (VanillaGaming_1121_Pack.rar).

I've created an account and copied the new realmlist in and get the "The information you have entered is invaid" error. I have tried changing the realmist to just say "realmlist login.nostalrius.org" with an empty line below it and it doesn't work.

Is it my client or do I need to tweak the realmlist?

I don't know how to take a screenshot within the WoW client, but it is Version 1.12.1 (5875) release. Error is "The information you have entered is not valid. Please check the spelling of your account name and password. If you need help in retrieving a lost or stolen password and account, see http://www.wow-europe.com ..."

I can't log in either. I've tried literally everything suggested on these forums and a few more things and nothing seems to work. My friend downloaded it and it works perfectly for him but I've tried reinstalling it several times and I still can't connect.

It gets as far as Handshaking, then it says Connecting for a split second if I'm lucky, and simply "Unable to Connect".

I am getting inconsistent errors sometimes too. I can never connect or get past the handshaking phase, but sometimes I get an error message that "This WoW account no longer exists..." but then simply retrying will usually go back to the standard "Cannot Connect" message.

I've tried several accounts, deleted the WDB and WTF folders, ran as admin, reinstalled several times, (I tried with and without a regular version of WoW on my computer too), downloaded and replaced the realmlist.wtf file, moved the entire folder in and out of Program Files and again nothing seems to produce any different results or at least any consistent results with the changing variables as to hint at what the problem might be.

It works perfeclty fine for my friend and he never had to try anything special to get it to work. I have nothing that would be blocking the game from connecting either, as far as I know on my router's end or something like that. Its impossible to say why his worked first try and why mine doesn't but I even just made sure all my plugins and windows patches were up to date. I live in Canada and my friend lives in the US, if that somehow has something to do with the weird connection or ISP problems. Its a long shot but I'm really at a loss for what to do
