I am planning to play vanilla WoW with 2 other friends on this server and since I have a mac, is the mac client at all bad? I've heard there have been some problems with the client and I am a bit uneasy about it. Also, do you have to be max level to raid like old vanilla WoW?

P.S. We are doing the math for the classes, but we wanna know what the best class/race combination is. Please help some newcomers out, we really are excited for this server.

The only problems I've encountered are bugged zeppelins/boats. As soon as the loading screen is done you get instantly teleported to mid-air near your destination, meaning you actually arrive faster than everyone else. The zep from UC to Gromgol is however completely broken, teleporting you just outside WPL instead of STV.

Playing horde, I don't know wether the alli boats/subway work or not.

And another thing you want to do before you start is to delete the WDB folder from your WOW folder. The item cache in it has some items that in your client will appear to have post-1.4-buffed stats, when they on the server actually have the stats from patch 1.3.

Can anyone with alli experience tell me if there are any problems? We are planning to play alliance.

I've played with the mac client for a long time, the biggest problem is that boat issue. HOWEVER as far as I can tell, as of a couple weeks ago that issue has been fixed on nost. (First server to actually fix that bug...)

Aside from that everything works really well, addons too. There can randomly be wow errors out of nowhere but you can actually fix that by doing this;

Right click on wow.app -> 'show package contents,' then go into resources and find "Error reporter.app" and delete it. Sounds kinda dumb but it actually does fix the problem.
