Best class for lvl 60 solo grinding?

I like to grind and I was thinking about rolling a character purely for this.
It should:
-kill efficiently (obviously)
-no downtime (or as little as possible)
-single-target > aoe-grinding (I'm crazy like that. I like grinding, looting not so much)

Common sense says "go hunter", but I am curious if other classes can grind like this? And just to confirm: is hunter really that good at hour on hour grinding? Never played them before. Cheers!

priests are very fun when you get to 30 and learn mind control, i spent most of my leveling in the 30 to 40 range soloing mobs in scarlet monestary instances
