Experience from the Comunity Warrior/Tank vs Mage

by AsusRage » Mon Jun 08, 2015 5:58 pm

Hey Nostalrius Community!

I am new to the whole private Server and Classic WoW.
i searched the forum but could't find a satisfying answer. I want to start here because of the large community and want to expierience the old vanilla content.

At the moment i am torn between the class choice of warrior(tank) and mage.
I started wow at BC and have some experience in raiding. Tanking was always fun for me but due to time consuming privat life and job it's not possible for me to play that often. Mage is a solid choice of DPS in my opinion.

My question is what class would you prefer if you just have 1-2 days to Raid?

Would appreciate some Feedback.

best Regards
Asus

Edit1: Would do you guys think about a Priest (Healer ) ?

Mage. If you don't have the time to dedicate yourself to tank, to making it and you the best tank to support the guild raid, don't be a tank.

Thers nothing worse to a guild progress then unreliable tanks:-)
So i would say mage.
But when u love tanking u can always offtank when your available.
Just roll and lvl both classes:-)

I'll echo the others and suggest you play the Mage class. Tanks can easily be a bottleneck for a guild.

Vanilla is very time consuming and has the others said, time is an indispensable tank quality therefor I would suggest mage, however have you ever thought of playing warrior furry ? You could just switch spec and get new gear if you eventually free up some time.

Thanks for your input!

Seems like Warrior is out of choice.

Another question. Is Healer more needed these days? in terms of raiding with 1-2 Attendance days?
Priest to be exactly

Same deal as tank, but less so. And from what I heard, actually a good number of healers available on this server.

But mages/locks always needed.
