First timer on WoW! :D

by croa089 » Sat Jul 18, 2015 12:00 am

Hi guys, its the first time ever that I am going to play WoW, I do got some experience in MMORPG like Lineage II, Aion and I recently started playin the open beta for Cabal II. (my first mmorpgish game was runescape just btw xD).

In L2 and Aion I wasn't really that good on pvp, I could get some kills but due to my lack of skill I stick on a opportunistic/that guy that keeps stealing your kills xD so I played a lot of assassins/rangers type and lurk in the shadows.

For WoW I am thinking in Rogue and Feral Druid (TBH and please don't hate me its due to sodapoppin), but I am kinda of afraid because I saw posts in here talking about macros and I got no idea how to use the or set them up since I never used macros for mmorpg.

With this I must ask the follow:

Is there any class that is somehow noobfriendly that can help to understand better the game and its mechanics?
Are macros a must have? If so teach me how to use/setup them please!

Welcome to wow. I don't have much info other than the fact that I found hunter easy to play in the vanilla days due to having a pet to tank while you solo. Rogue is decent too because it has stealth, which can help with some questing. I can't give you any info on PVP.

Hunter/WL are the easiest because of their pets.

there re macros for every class, but u dont ve to use them. it takes a lot of time to get 60 and till then ull probably have a better idea about the game/mechanics. then u can ve a deeper look into macros and stuff

so dont think about macros and stuff, just play what you want :)
(i just wouldnt recommend u playin a heal/tank :p)

I'd stay away from Druid as your first class. Leveling in the 1-20 levels can be a pain, and really discouraging for a new player.

You'll love rogue though.

Rogue isn't as forgiving in the first levels either, but regardless each class faces it's own difficulties in the early levels to be honest. @OP, if you want to be stealthy, I'd say pick whichever you'd like of those 2 you mentioned.

Every class has its trials pre-level 10. As others have stated, if you want stealth go rogue or druid
They both have a niche at 60 but druids will be preferred as healers. As far as an "easy" class I would suggest a hunter there. They are extremely simple to learn and very efficient levelers. I leveled mine in just over 5 days /played. Not to mention they can tame pets with the ability to stealth and night elves can shadowmeld which could satiate your needs there as well. Good luck and happy leveling.
