What class to play warri / rouge

I just heard about nostalrius, startet looking into it and my mind got blown off when I saw the population of the server I fu*king love it !
Back in the good old days I played as drood healer (raidet mc and such) and I also played a warrior.
In retail i always played a tank or healer in Raids. So i came up with The Great idea to Play a dps this Time :p
but when i went through the pages of the population post I saw the numbers of rouges and warriors are over the top... So is there any real chance to compete against that many other meele dps players?! I'm not a hardcore player nor a casual I play like 3-6 hours a da (10+ hours on the weekend)
I first thought about playing a shaman or droid again but as I looked deeper in the specific class forum section I changed my mind they all complain that hybrid classes need a lot more effort time / gear to compete against a single speck class against with or even some of the spect as so not worthy that is nearly impossible to Find raid groups like shadow priest or enhancement shaman or even tank droids. So my actual question is what class (dps) suits me best in relation of need and the time I can spend on it and also by the huge number of warriors are tanks (raid not 5man) needed ?!
