Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello all, I was thinking about downloading Nostalrius, but then I remembered the last time I downloaded a private server client. I got viruses on my computer, in which I had to completely wipe the computer to mostly get rid of. Has anyone received viruses from downloading this client? I've tried searching online, but couldn't find anyone mentioning it. I don't have the money for an antivirus or a new computer atm.
Also, will I need WinRar to download and extract the files? I would rather not download it, because I suspect that was part of the problem with getting viruses. Thanks. (I probably sound like a noob lol)

There are no viruses in the official Nostalrius client downloaded from the official website.
Don't buy an antivirus, free ones work just as well. Don't ever buy a new computer if you get a virus because it's nothing a simple formatting can't fix.
I don't recall needing to extract files to install the client. It's in .exe form (well technically this is very similar to an archive but you don't need WinRar or any specific program).
However you will need to extract files if you plan on using AddOns. 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) is better than Winrar, although Winrar is safe (when downloaded from a trusted source such as the official website).

I do malware removal for a living, and can confirm this client is safe, so you don't need to worry about it.
