Guild languaje and recruitment?

by HotJoint » Mon Dec 14, 2015 4:38 pm

Hello guys:

First of all: thanx a lot for bringing back the original vanilla wow experience to all of us. I played WoW since 2004 and getting back on that experience, it is just great.

I am aware of Nostalrius TOS, and i know english is the official languaje ingame. But since i am from Latin America and all of my friends want to play in Nostalrius, i have a few questions regarding to languaje:

1) Can i crreate a guild with an spanish name? It will be against the TOS? It won't be an innapropiate name, just in spanish.

2) Can we speak in spanish inside our guild and in the events / raids of our guild?

3) Can we recruit openly in spanish? Some players won't understand, but the ones who talk spanish might join. Maybe we can recruit in english but saying we are an "spanish spoken guild"?

Thanx a lot guys and keep the good work up!

Greetings and welcome Nostalrius!

1) Yes, guild names can be in other languages. Terms of use apply.

2) You can use whatever language you want in non-public chat channels. These include /g and /p and custom channels. In public channels, please stick to English. These include /s, /y, General, Trade, LocalDefense, WorldDefense, LookingForGroup, LookingForGuild and World.

3) Please do not use recruitment messages in Spanish. You can of course mention that the guild language is Spanish. For example: "Guild Viva La Fútbol is recruiting! We are a Spanish language guild based in Latin America"

The GM team.
