Never played at Vanilla before, need tips

Hello,

That's my first day on Nostalrius and I have a lot of questions :D

1: Which class do you recommend me, mainly for PvP?

I have played a lot Hunter & Rogue, Mage look also interesting. I know that's a personal choice but I don't have any idea yet. Rogue look always fun to play on PvP but what about raid & PvE in general ( quest,etc..)

2:Which addons do you recommend me for quest?

I never played Vanilla so fair and the leveling for me will be hard, probably, do you have any addons that can help me for quest?

3: How much time take the leveling 1-60 for a normal player?

I heard that's very long, this is true?

4: Do you have any custom UI you recommend me?

There is a lot of custom UI on the internet but I'm kinda afraid about compatibility:(

That's it, thank you <3

First of all, welcome to the server :)

It's quite difficult to recommend a class, considering everyone has their own playstyle and level of enjoyment, but I would assume rogues/hunters would be up there for good PVP classes. Healers, I could assume, would be greatly needed for pvp as well. But remember there is no dual-spec in Vanilla. So if you level as a healer, I would recommend finding a guild, making friends, ect.

Leveling to 60 is much more lengthy than on retail. If you can only squeeze in a few hours per day, your looking at upwards of a month, atleast. Though I've heard some people can get to 60 within a couple weeks if they go ham. The game is quite grindy, but the sense of accomplishment that retail lacks makes it worth while.

If your looking for any addons, you should check out the stickied threads in the Addons and Macros forum. (https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewforum.php?f=63) If you still can't find what you're looking for, feel free to start a post. The community is usually pretty speedy when it comes to answering questions and giving advice.

Hope you enjoy your stay. :)

1) Hunters, rogues and mages are all great pvp classes, with rogues and mages being very popular choices.

2) A quest helping addon like questie or shagu, Luna Unit Frames are great for lots of things, Natur Enemy Cast Bar, and something to replace your actionbars with if you dont like the vanilla ones.

3) Averagely like 10 days of /played. It depends on how much of your time you spend grinding xp vs doing other stuff like questing, professions, dungeons, etc.

4) Nope.

Questie is a great addon to help you with leveling (shows quest icons on map and what area to fulfill the quests).

I just downloaded Bongos yesterday (moving action bars around), and it seems to be very easy to use.

I keep on adding new addons every couple of days. A good unit frames addon is next for me.

Welcome to Nost.

The biggest thing to remember about Vanilla is that you need to be very careful about how much you pull. You either need to group up, or use ranged to pull mobs out of areas. Also, you will probably need to quest in multiple zones per level bracket. Elwynn Forest > Dun Morogh, then Loch Modan > Westfall.
