So I know that the PvP server is more populated than the PvE server, but I have some questions about the two.

-How far has each realm progressed raid-wise?
-What are the faction differences population-wise on each server?
-What are the communities like?
-Which server would you reccomend to a new (to Nost) player?

Greetings,

PvE realm is on patch 1.3 content wise, whereas PvP realm is on patch 1.8
On the PvE realm, it's rougly 60:40 A:H, on PvP realm it's 50-50.
Too many communities to describe in one word. There are nice people and there are douchebags.
You should decide whether you want to experience world PvP even when it means that a lvl 60 will gank you or not and whether you want to play with 10k people or 3k people.
