I am not able to chat in general or any of the default chat channels. I am able to whisper and /s
Have disabled all addons and deleted the WTF folder, problem persists.

anyone experience this or have an idea of a direction to look?

If you are under lvl 15 you should avoid using public chats because you will be heavily restricted and can be auto-banned for spamming very easy (you then have to make an appeal to get your account un-banned).

If your character is lvl 15+ you should be able to use the chat like normal. If you get any problems you can try and type /leave general and then /join general (replace general with any chat name) and that will usually make you able to use the chat again.

Please read the stickies at the top of the forums to get a better understanding of the game.

Starting Tips for New Players:

Avoid talking in the chat channels until level 15. The anti-spam filter may accidently pick you up, and you would need to post a message to the Support forum to request an unban.
