Fishing sound goes away

So, very often the bobber sound for catching a fish disappears. All other sounds seem to remain. I've been told to /reload but it doesn't seem to fix it. Does anyone know how to fix this, or know a of a mod that will play a sound when a fish is hooked? Having to watch the screen for the bobber animation makes fishing even more tedious than usual.

I have the same problem. Sometimes it works almost flawlessly but most of the time it does not work at all.

I'm having the same exact issue right now. THen the server crashed. Twice. Was just coming to the forums to see if there server was down for something. Kinda of annoying since i like to read chat while fishing and unless you're looking right at the bobber when it splashes, you'll never know you got a fish.

same problem here... cant watch movies with this its rlly retarded u have to stare on it 24/7
