Potential New Player Questions

by Adamsst » Tue Apr 21, 2015 4:21 pm

I used to play private WoW way back in the day and was wondering...

-Is there an issue with rollbacks?
-How buggy is the server? I know this is hard to gauge, but one reason I left private back in the day was because it was impossible to put any sort of build together without at least 1 critical skill/aspect bugged.
-Any caveats I should know of? I started playing Blizz WoW and maxxed a warlock about a month before WotLK released. I've never been part of pre-BC and wonder if there are any major parts of the game I'm accustomed to that I won't see on this server (other than the new content of course).

Thanks for reading/responding.

- No
- Not very, there are a few bugs but they are getting fixed

- Yes, there are a lot of things, way too many to list. Expect many of the standard features from BC forward to be missing. Like the Burning Crusade itself added so many things that were originally addons for vanilla before Blizzard implemented them.

The main issue people have with Vanilla WoW (from my perspective) is the lack of viable specs in PvE. There is generally just a single role for your class as well as a single spec unless you are really good, as in you would have to put forth so much more effort to be even equal with certain other classes/specs. A good example would be If you are a Paladin, Druid, Shaman, or Priest, you're going to be a healer; Balance Druids and Shadow Priest are sometimes used, but don't expect more than 1 in a Raid.
