Warrior not getting Rage from critters!

I clearly remember from classic that attacking critters gives you rage hence why they where placed there in the first place.

Is there a source somewhere confirming that the only purpose of the critters' existence was for warrior to recklessly slaughter them for some rage?

Many dungeons have critters in them, and dealing damage to them will generate rage for Warriors and Druids, making them usefull "rage batteries" (if there are multiple rage-users, just remember that the tank has priority).

Helped keep you in combat too to avoid saps.
