Warrior vs. Mage

This post is half rant, half question.

I have been playing Nostalrius since launch and have experienced most classes, played both alliance and horde, and have done quite a bit of world pvp and battlegrounds. I understand that each class has its own strengths and weaknesses in pve and pvp (much more so than in retail wow), and that in 1v1 pvp situations some classes have advantages over other classes just by how they were designed. This never bothered me too much and I understand it is just the nature of vanilla wow. Well it never bothered me, until I rolled warrior and started having lots of experiences trying to fight mages... and what the actual f-ck is the deal here???

This is a basic rundown of how warrior vs mage goes:
-Charge (if you're lucky)
-Hamstring (again, if lucky)
-Mage casts frost nova and blink, then frostbolt to slow you
-Warrior uses intercept, gets a few hits off (if lucky)
-Mage casts frost nova and blink, then frostbolt to slow you
-Warrior runs out of options altogether until intercept is off cooldown. By that time you might be dead anyway, and if you arent dead yet:
-Mage casts frost nova and blink, the frostbolt to slow you

Now I'm not trying to turn this into a big rant, because there are other cheap situations that happen in pvp (rogue stunlock for example), but seriously, what the f-ck is a warrior supposed to do?? How is it possible for a warrior to win against a mage 1v1 (unless the mage is just bad)?? Am I the only one who notices how impossible this situation is for a warrior? Does anyone have any tips on how to overcome this situation?

Mage vs warrior is just easy win for mage if he lands first hit.

But if you wanna pwn a mage you have to use Free action potions (easy to craft, n easy to buy if you re not alchemist)

30 sec immune to root and slow.

Take pot, charge, intercept, and fucking pwn him (if he IB, wait it fades (10 sec IB 30 sec FAP) charge again and pwn him to death.

If he got POM he can sheep you instant and you re fucked. If not you can handle him pretty easy.

Later you can also reflecto , but Free action potion is just the easiest way to Pwn mages in duel.

In BG you dont need FAP if you play with a dispeller mages just get raped in 2 blows.

If you free action potion they will just sheep you.

Mage win vs Warrior.

Restorative potion will cure/dispel 1 magic, curse, poison or disease effect on you every 5s for 30s.

Weigh it against FAP, whether he'll get the sheep or not.

Hint: I would not use FAP immediately before your charge, mage will just blink/sheep you, or IB/sheep you after intercept.

Think about pros and cons of both options.

Don't forget can use Def stance to mitigate incoming damage, instead of taking normal(battle stance) or extra damage(berserker stance).

Fast Intimidating Shout can buy you some extra seconds if no bleed on the mage.

Last resort: Shoot him with your gun/bow/xbow while you're on ice!

Get more HP, go engineering for reflectos.

Has any1 noticed charge and intercept stuns doesnt interrupt spell casting?

I ve been sheeped many times while charging, half way.

Server/latency will affect the benefit of charge/intercept stun.

There is a solution but not sure you wanna use it in this 1.12.1 patch without BWL hp trinket. Its called Skull of Impending Doom. Works good vs poly. I think Swifty built his whole streamer/youtuber career over this one item actually.

I thought I read somewhere that you can cancelaura that. Is this accurate?

Not sure, I never got to use it as good as Swifty did because it probably needs fury spec to have atleast 1 good weapon out and bwl heal trinket (that probably goes to every tank first)

Be alliance, get that disco disc that paladins buffs you with, no more slows.
