Getting Whirlwind Axe at 30

What is the general strategy to getting the Whirlwind Axe at 30? I've already got eight of each charm from the AH, and I know I'll be needing a 60 to help me kill the 40 elite; should I try to get the Bloodscalp Tusks myself, or also get a 60 to help me there? I know the mobs are 33-34, so they'll be tough, but are they soloable at 30?

Basically, what's the easiest way to go about getting those 30 tusks from the 33-34 mobs?

It's probably possible to get the tusks solo but many of the trolls are not single pulls. On top of that, there is a lot of PvP in that area. You might not need a 60 to help you with the tusks but I would highly recommend it if you can find someone.

I completed it by teaming up with 1-2 other lvl30-35 warriors also doing the quest.

get help from a friend lvl 60, it's by far the best way.

buy the elemental loots in AH

i got the hammer at lvl 37 and vendored it.. if memory serves it vendors for the most. as leveling fury is much faster, i didnt see a point in using it.

I did this as well. Us day 1 OGs didn't have the luxury of getting carried.

2 manned with another warrior til elite, then a hunter lvl 33 helped us kill elite. Taking turns taunting, shield wall and kiting it.

Hm...so far it's not too difficult to kill the mobs, the main challenge is being relentlessly ganked by every horde that passes by, due to being the minimum level for STV.



Guess I'll have to wait until Monday night to continue farming.

I just gathered all the mats and had a 60 help me with the tusks and the boss.

Yeah, I bought the other mats off AH; I just need the tusks now. The mobs are easy enough to kill, they just take me down to 30-40% health and take like 30 seconds to kill. I managed to gather 11 tusks, but literally every single red name that I saw resulted in death.

2h fury is the best spec to lvl as until 60 since you dont lock yourself up to a certain weapon spec further down arms tree.
