Don't ever spec heroic strike unless you're end game fury dual wield.

If you're are not familiar to vanilla mechanics, enemies that parry you haste your next attack by 50%,meaning you want your targets to parry you, while leveling its a must to have 5/5 parry over 3/3 heroic strike if you decide to go deep arms since start.

Only reason i don't prefer deep arms from start over Fury Slam Spec is because you drop 5/5 cruelty till level 45 which is 5% crit.

You always need to crit, all specs need crit, there's no doubt that critting makes you kill faster also which increases your leveling rate by a good amount.

I don't know who wouldn't need a passive 5% crit chance over any of the arms talents which offer almost nothing to leveling except overpower and a weapon specialization which becomes available at 30.

The way you worded this is opposite. If you parry an enemies attack it hastens your next attack by 50%. If an enemy parries your attack it hastens their next attack.

Target hits you, target attack gets parried, your next attack is 50% faster to make it more clear, that's what i said.

Its really confusing how to describe parry, since i mentioned you need deflection talent why would you think i meant the opposite?

I knew what you were trying to say but your exact words were completely opposite of what you were trying to say, which is confusing to anyone who doesn't know about parry haste.

"enemies that parry you haste your next attack by 50%,meaning you want your targets to parry you" <--- if a mob parries you it hastens THEIR next attack, not yours.

Reworded "Enemy attacks that you parry haste your next attack by 50%, meaning you want to parry an enemy attack"

When specced into Enrage people often sit for a mobs first attack, this forces the attack to crit you, proccing the 25% damage buff from Enrage. Blood Craze will heal the damage the initial crit does, it is also good in PVP

Hi,
Just got my stoneslayer http://wowwiki.wikia.com/Stoneslayer from Ulda and i got to respec my axe-arms spec. I just can't decide if I should go for the 2h-fury-slam spec or just do mortal strike with swords. I like arms because of the sweeping strikes + WW which I use a lot by first generating some rage from a single mob and then "1-shot" 2 mobs right after. But on the other hand that slam spec sounds really awesome with enrage and death wish, does it overall beat SS+WW? and the other benefit from fury is that it does not make you use certain type of weapon for leveling, and weapons change a lot....

Taken from http://wowwiki.wikia.com/Parry?oldid=271251:
Code: Select all
 Parry Functionality

An important piece of information that should be noted is that successfully parrying an attack will reset your swing timer.

For example, lets say you are using a 3.4 speed two hand weapon. At time 0, you attack. At time 0.5 seconds, the enemy attacks you, and you parry. Somewhere within the next 1 second you will see a second attack, giving you 2 normal attacks in under 2 seconds with a 3.4 speed weapon.

There was some controversy over why there was a lag after the parry and the next attack. One conclusion to be arrived at is that the second attack is in fact supposed to be instant, however due to client to server lag there is normally a 0.5 to 1.5 second delay before the next attack.

Parry did not speed up your attack timer until TBC. It just gave you a delayed instant attack within the next second.

Stick with arms with that weapon and get impact.

I wouldnt do 5/5 parry but 3/3 imp rend 2/5 parry to move up. Imp heroic strike should not be gotten as a lvl spec, you should rarely use it. Keep your rend and deepwounds up to help push a mob to 20 percent for execute. Sucks seeing it at 21 22 percent, no bleeds on it and you are missing or getting mitigated ovet and over just from attack. Go bleeds are good.
