God this thread, don't try to reinvent the wheel.

Here, http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#LNhb0hbZcZEizoe0zMo, just use this. You can move a handful of points around but you really should not need to. Tunderclap is bad for threat and you the mitgation you gain shouldn't matter in 5 mans. In raid what ever tank is not MT is going to be keeping it up anyway. If your worried about holding threat in 5 mans, get less retarded DPS. Tab-Sunder is always going to be your best gain for threat and the fastest, some people use cleave but its less rage to threat efficient.

4/5 deflection? 3/3 heroic strike? 3/5 cruelty? 2/5 1hand specialization?! you real bro? no taunt cd?!

This is my favourite dungeon/OT build, works really great, if you ask about piercing howl, its for encounters you need to kite, ( nefarian/razorgore ) and various trash npc moments to give your healer space to regen.

40 man Main Tank, if you ask for shield bash, you don't know about wyrmkins in bwl, if you ask about 3/3 improved shield block, it's to have an extra 1.5 second to react on other abilities while u still have a charge of shield block up.

Last of all, i don't think you really care for this at the moment,because you're nowhere close to defense cap with the "True" stats of the tiers, but this is the best Threat Build for end game content with t3 where defense is not mendantory in your talents.

impale looks like a very bad talent with current gear, maybe when 1.5 hits it will be worthwhile.

It's fine right now but it will get much better. You don't need all the unnecessary utility talents in prot if you are doing your job right but you do need the threat if your dps is doing theirs.

Trying to play smart while you have 3/5 cruelty and 2/5 one hand specialization doesn't help you, who would skip 5/5 one hand specialization? you mad?

Sick response bro, of course you can take 5/5 one hand, you just drop 3 points from imp sunder, I do it a lot. It doesn't increase the base threat from HS, Shield Slam, or Sunder. Those are your key threat gen, sure more damage helps but it's the end all. Fenix is that way friend, you can pack your shit advice and bad memes up and head back.

Dont use threat as your basis for your build you can hold threat spamming sunder if you wanted. Glad to see the points to help it crit, and bleed off of your sunder crit.....

I personally roll 5/5 tactical mastery, as I run many 5 mans for the guild. Charge bloodrage, cleave and thunderclap at same time, swap fury, ww, swap def and tank. Swap to fury for ww and arms tc on cooldown. Makes aoe tanking a joke and pisses dps off when you post meters after for laughs.

5 man builds need imp sunder due to rage starvations.

Imp bash is good for 5 mans, 20 mans, bwl and c thun tentacles.

We run 1 tank for imp demo, piercing howl.

Imp shieldwall is a MT must.

Badtank I question the imp hs but not imp sunder. If you had to take one or tbe other wouldnt you want it on your highest tps move that does consume a white hit? When you are on a roll with your moves (loads of rage from heavy damage), heroic is your rage dump, while sunder is your thrrat build. It seems you are losing a bit of snap aggro potential here, and not gaining mush on hs due to being spamable in the first place.

Biggest difference here is still prob in 5 mans where 12 rage then sunder could mean the difference of a mob running by you, compared to having to hs, but dont have a white hit to follow.

In relation to this, there are builds I run 2/3 imp sunder, 2/3 imp hs getting the extra point from going 4/5 tact mastery instead of 5.
