Just from this you can tell it should't proc from Hamstring or Rend. Dealing damage with your sword is either autoattack or Heroic strike. Shouldn't proc from Execute as it has nothing to do with weapon attacks. It's discussable on Mortal Strike and Overpower where it says "deals weapon damage". That doesn't mean you use your sword to deal damage, it says your sword has some damage and you deal that amount of damage to the target. I don't know how this one was on retail, according to tooltips it shouldn't proc from those two abilities.

Can someone address this matter? Warrior is hard class and fixing problems like this should be a priority

I think we should use the official Bug Tracker from now on.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjqrR4gJIOo (the well known PAT the turen warrior back in 2005)

Look how often sword spec procs, it doesn't proc just off normal attack, mortal strike, whirlwind - it also procs from rend and deep wounds, hamstring and other abilities

Check fight at 4:25 (how the white attacks - sword spec, hits targets damaged by whirlwind, even if they arent targeted, and it procs like 4 times in a matter of 6,7 seconds.....)

I used to be Field Marshal warrior back on official and quit Warrior right after TBC came out (continued to play Paladin), never had time to reach Grand Marshal due to rank farming being too time consuming, but I honestly tell you that you have to look into SWORD SPECIALIZATION scripting :) Thank you in advance

On every private people tell you to go axe spec due to 5% more crit, but that's not the case, sword specialization used to be gazillion times better, no pro ever used axe spec unless they haven't had good enough sword - the problem is that developers never tend to look in how often it really procced, on every private vanilla server I played I addressed this matter and never had the bug fixed, hopefully here on Nostalrius it Will be different :)

Irrelevant to the bug- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGBnjELkgok -> broken patch where they put Deathwish talent too low in the talent tree and you could go arms + Death wish :D

Most of his sword spec procs come from windfury, or cherrypicked scenes where he's just lucky. I don't think sword spec procced on rend, but do think it procs off just about every other ability.

http://forums.elitistjerks.com/topic/60 ... ill-it-be/

"Also, has any Horde Warriors (especially those with Sword Spec) tried Hamstring spamming with WF Totem / HoJ / -5 Rage cost from the ZG Necklace and PvP Gloves?

Someone mentioned this in the Warrior forum and I never thought of this before, but apparently this is an excellent way to build Rage via extra attacks for a small 5 Rage cost. "

Seems to imply hamstring was a viable method of producing sword spec procs, as it causes static damage.

Even further proof:

http://www.lurkerlounge.com/forums/prin ... p?tid=5381

"The general rule is that extra attack abilities can be activated on any ability that can crit. This includes the proc on Drake Talon Cleaver and Hamstring. As I said, it's general, and I'm not entirely sure.

I've been seriously considering the epic PvP warrior gloves as the best PvE dps gloves in the game for Horde warriors - super cheap hamstrings will allow you to proc windfury repeatedly.

edit : There's lots of better weapons. Personally, I swapped to Skullforge Reaver when I got it, but that was probably a mistake. (It does, after all, have the single worst tanking proc in the game) Anything over 44 dps is probably better. "

What exactly is wrong with sword spec? You offer no reason as to why you think its bugged other than not seeing it proc as often as it does in cherrypicked pvp video scenes.
