I ran a test of 1000 hits with that one. I got an average weapon speed by around 1.4-1.45 (procrate was pretty low). It is still very good, probably on the top 5 currently but not the best.

If you find yourself having excess rage, you should go for a faster weapon. Even Broodlords defender is fairly slow in tanking perspective compared to a 1.3 speed weapon. So basically you're asking if it's worth trading 100+ TPS for abit of mitigation, I don't think it is. But what do I know, all raids have different needs

Why should you not get Quel'Serrar is the question! It's a weapon sent by the mitigation gods!

Nice mitigation proc + nice speed which can pack a great punch for that initial aggro. Do not listen to trolls like Plask!

Edit: Don't forget your 1% dodge on helm and legs for more avoidance!

I find myself swapping them mid fight on some. Chromag and Nef for sure.

Chromag, I start with Alcorz to get WAY ahead in threat while we are figuring out breaths.

Right before a breath I swap to Quel for more stam. I will go back to alcorz, rage dump and keep my initial aggro build up going. Swap to Quel before next breath.

From here, I am very far up the list for threat and keep Quel on to get the proc rolling.

If icey breath is one, and I am getting chain stunned while conserving sands, I will get back to Alcorz and built threat if and when needed.


Nef pretty much same thing. After adds are down and I am on boss, after first class call, I can safely put on Quel to help with Def cap due to having to use Onxyia cloak and currently no ZG enchants.

how about ironfoe? i pull some beast TPS with windfury/ironfoe.

Interesting that you mention it. The last 2 weeks I've actually been using Ironfoe on Onyxia since I always find myself rage-starved there. Now I have tons of rage and TPS is much less of a problem. Bascially, Ironfoe works out great if you have a fight where you struggle with both rage and TPS.
