How would the +22 AP from Counterattack Lodestone ( http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18537 ... -in-object) match the other trinket options?

I am someone who already wasted his Drakkisath kill quest and can't get Blackhand's Breadth as a result, so I'm looking at what are the other options for second trinket (HoJ being first). Between the Darkmoon Card and the Lodestone, which one fares better?

Lodestone: 22ap/14 = 1,57 DPS

DMC Maelstrom: ((250x0.1)/2.5) = 10 dps
250 = average damage
0.1 = proc chance of 10%
2.5 = example weapon speed.

Bear in mind also that DMC doesnt have a PPM mechanic behind its proc meaning it will be more powerful the faster the weapons you use, making use of flurry speed, and can proc from OH-swings too. Additionally, DMC can crit.

Conculsion: DMC Maelstrom beats Lodestone by miles and is definitely a very powerful alternative to Blackhands atleast until AQ40 (where many mobs and bosses have NR resistance).

I know this may seem tedious to ask, but if you find yourself with some free time, could you do a similar formula/calculation for HoJ, Blackhand's and maybe the Rune Guard? I do like these little number results.

I know this may seem tedious to ask, but if you find yourself with some free time, could you do a similar formula/calculation for HoJ, Blackhand's and maybe the Rune Guard? I do like these little number results.


HoJ is hard to calculate since the damage from the extra hit depends on your current gears and buffs. Regarding Blackhands and Rune I dont know the pure DPS value of 1% crit or 1% hit. Deriving DPS from pure AP is very simple though. Just take the AP-value and divide by 14 and you get the DPS it adds. I recommend you check out the spreadsheet I have posted in another sticky thread here on the forum. It got alot of the formulas you ask for and will model and approximation of your expected DPS from your current gear

Just add your gear and buffs in it..

Generally, if under the soft crit cap (white hits) 1crit% = 30ap 1hit% = 15ap.

If you are at or over soft crit cap (white hits) 1crit% = 15ap 1hit% = 30 ap.

So in early gear, BHB = 60ap, when you get good gear for hit/crit in other slots, it's value then drops to 45ap then 30ap based off your other loot. (Onxyia head buff makes the crit trinket not as good).

Does the Darkmoon Card proc off extra attack procs?

Let's say Ironfoe, or Flurry Axe, or Hand of Justice procs and adds more swings to your attacks. Can those new swings trigger a lightning blast, or can the blasts only come from regular white+yellow hits.

AP doesn't increase crit% if you were looking for the reverse relation. Crit is only affected by agi and +crit on gear.

Thoughts on using the ZG fistweapons instead of Dal'rends as human warrior?

They look so badass so if i can make it work and not lose a bunch of damage i'd love to do it!

If it is viable, should i still enchant crusader + 15str or should i go with something else due to the 2.2/1.5 speed?

Would darkmoon card maelstrom be better than either hoj or blackhands breadth for this setup?
